BRIEF CV
I was born and raised in Athens.
I studied Sociology at Panteion University and from my first student years I discovered my great interest in man, his history and his societies. I then studied Psychology at the University of Derby deepening my understanding of man and his behaviour.
My need to go beyond understanding to active interaction led me down the path of psychotherapy. I completed my MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland (Person-centered and Psychodynamic approach) and then trained in Person-centered and Focusing experiential Psychotherapy and Counselling at the Greek Focusing Center.
work experience
My experience in education for over a decade has given me the opportunity to work with children and teenagers and manage the difficulties they face as students as well as issues related to their relationship with their parents. Throughout my educational and professional career I had the opportunity to gain clinical experience in several different contexts such as:
- Addiction issues (KETHEA Ithaca, family program) / (KETHEA Strofi, counseling center)
- Counselling of parents and children/adolescents (Together for the Child)
- Women's counseling (HEN Thessaloniki, Social Service)
- Counselling of adolescents and adults with Type I Diabetes (Hemoglobe)
I maintain a private office in Chalandri and work therapeutically individually and in groups.
I am a certified psychotherapist from the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP), the National Society of Psychotherapy of Greece (EEPSE) and a Focusing-experiential psychotherapist (FOT therapist) from the International Focusing Institute of New York (International Focusing Institute).
